Musculoskeletal Health in the Workplace
What employers should understand about musculoskeletal discomfort, work participation, and practical prevention.
Musculoskeletal complaints are among the most common reasons people report discomfort at work and reduced ability to perform physically demanding or sustained tasks. Public health and occupational bodies such as the World Health Organization and OSHA publish general guidance in this area.
Association is not causation: workplace factors are one contributor among many, alongside general health, activity levels, prior injury, and job demands.
Practical directions for employers
