Executive Summary

Your employees are your most important operating system.

Modern work means long hours seated, screens, commuting, travel, standing, lifting and physical stress that accumulates quietly. Musculoskeletal discomfort rarely announces itself — it just shows up as lower energy and lower engagement.

  • Concentration
  • Productivity
  • Energy
  • Employee experience
  • Absenteeism
  • Workplace satisfaction
  • Physical resilience

Body Logic helps organizations proactively support the physical wellbeing of their workforce — making musculoskeletal wellness accessible, engaging and easy to implement.

We are careful with claims. We don't promise reductions in absenteeism, injuries or healthcare spending. We provide education, screening, movement guidance and care access — and we help you measure participation honestly.

The Workforce Problem

Your workforce has a musculoskeletal problem — whether you see it or not.

Musculoskeletal problems do not necessarily remain outside the workplace. They can affect movement, comfort, concentration, work participation and healthcare utilization. That makes musculoskeletal health a workforce issue, not only a healthcare issue.

Take care of the people who take care of your business. Employees are not labor inputs — they serve customers, build products, manage operations, solve problems, represent the brand and execute the mission.

  • Executive wellness
  • Customized wellness initiatives

Programs are customized according to workforce size, objectives, location, participation model and desired level of employer involvement.

Design My Corporate Program

Participation Models

Flexible ways to offer the benefit.

You do not need a large wellness budget to start a conversation. There are three common structures — and combinations of them.

Employer Sponsored

The organization covers the agreed program or employee benefit.

Employer Subsidized

The employer contributes toward participation while employees contribute the remainder.

Employee Access

The employer provides access to the corporate program while participating employees pay directly.

We'll help determine which structure makes the most sense for your organization.

The Evidence

The business case is bigger than back pain.

Published research on musculoskeletal health, work disability and healthcare utilization. Findings are presented as their authors reported them — associations are labelled as associations.

Evidence 01

The World's Leading Cause of Disability

619 Million

Approximately 619 million people globally were living with low back pain in 2020. The World Health Organization identifies low back pain as the single leading cause of disability worldwide and notes its association with work limitations, participation restrictions and lost productivity.

Interpretation: Established public-health finding

Evidence 02

Musculoskeletal Disorders Affect Work

OSHA identifies work-related musculoskeletal disorders among the most frequently reported causes of lost or restricted work time. Recognized workplace risk factors can include repetitive activity, lifting, awkward positioning, bending, pushing, pulling and physical overexertion.

Interpretation: Regulatory guidance

Evidence 03

Occupational Low Back Pain & Work Disability

8.6% Shorter

In an observational workers' compensation study involving occupational low back pain, shorter-duration chiropractic care was associated with an 8.6% shorter period of work disability after controlling for multiple factors. The study also reported an association with lower likelihood of recurrent work disability.

Interpretation: Observational association only — this does not establish that chiropractic universally causes an 8.6% reduction.

Evidence 04

Healthcare Utilization

1.7+ Million

A four-year retrospective health-plan analysis compared more than 700,000 members with chiropractic coverage with approximately one million members without the benefit. In that study population, chiropractic coverage was associated with lower annual healthcare expenditures — and, among back-pain patients, with lower utilization of hospitalization, low-back surgery, MRI and radiography.

Interpretation: Associations within one studied population — not guaranteed savings for any individual employer.

44 Studies Examining Cost & Utilization

44 Studies

A 2024 systematic review evaluated 44 studies comparing chiropractic and medical management of adults with spine-related musculoskeletal pain. Patients who consulted chiropractors as initial providers generally demonstrated lower use of several downstream healthcare services — opioid prescriptions, surgery, hospitalization, emergency department visits, specialist referrals and injection procedures — with lower associated costs reported across many included studies.

Interpretation: Much of the underlying evidence was observational and should not be read as a guarantee of savings.

What It Means

So what does this mean for your business?

Your organization does not experience musculoskeletal problems as an academic statistic. You experience them through people — an employee who misses work, a team member working through discomfort, a manager with persistent back problems, someone navigating appointments, imaging and specialists. Individual experiences collectively become organizational costs.

Workforce Economics Model

Musculoskeletal problemPain, movement and function limitations

Absenteeism

Musculoskeletal problems can contribute to missed work and periods of work disability.

Presenteeism

Employees may physically be at work while pain or movement limitations make performing normal responsibilities more difficult. Chiropractic has not been proven to eliminate presenteeism.

Healthcare Utilization

Musculoskeletal problems can generate physician visits, imaging, medications, specialty care, emergency visits, procedures and, for some patients, surgery.

Work Disability

Persistent musculoskeletal problems can contribute to work limitations and time away from normal activity.

Direct + indirect organizational costsThe business bottom line

Employee Value Proposition

Your benefits package says something about your company.

Compensation matters. But employees also evaluate organizations by how those organizations invest in their wellbeing, development and quality of life. A thoughtful wellness benefit becomes part of the employee experience — support they can actually experience.

Benefits aren't just expenses.

Organizations compete for talented people — and then want to keep them. Salary is one component of that relationship. Employees also weigh:

Healthcare benefitsFlexibilityProfessional developmentWorkplace cultureWellness benefitsRecognitionQuality-of-life benefitsWhether the organization appears to care

Meaningful benefits can contribute to perceived organizational support and the employer value proposition. Body Logic is one differentiated component of that experience — not a retention guarantee.

Give employees a benefit they can feel.

Many employee benefits are invisible until something goes wrong. A wellness partnership can be different.

  • Workplace wellness events
  • Educational programs
  • Movement assessments
  • Chiropractic access
  • Wellness resources
  • Health conversations
  • Ongoing support

The experience we want employers to create: "My company provides this for us."

Become the kind of company people want to work for.

The strongest employer brands are built through thousands of employee experiences. Wellness benefits help organizations show that employee wellbeing is more than language in a handbook.

Body Logic helps leadership turn workforce wellbeing into something employees can actually experience — because healthier organizations begin with healthier people.

Value Proposition One

Workforce Economics

Musculoskeletal health → function → work participation → healthcare utilization → organizational cost.

Value Proposition Two

Employee Experience

Wellness investment → meaningful benefit → perceived support → employee experience → employer value proposition → recruitment and retention environment.

A healthier workforce. A stronger organization.

The Activation

Bring Body Logic into your workplace.

Employees arrive during designated wellness hours. They can take part in brief movement and posture assessments, ask questions about common musculoskeletal concerns, learn practical strategies for their workday and discover the wellness resources available to them.

Depending on the program, we can layer in educational sessions, movement activities, wellness screenings and partner experiences.

The objective: make wellness visible, accessible and engaging.

For the Executive Team

Wellness should create value.

Corporate wellness should not exist simply so an organization can say it has a wellness program. It should help address real workforce needs. Body Logic focuses on one area affecting millions of people: musculoskeletal health.

01

Can we help your people?

02

Can we make participation easy?

03

Can we create meaningful value for your organization?

How we frame the argument

  • Established: musculoskeletal health has meaningful workforce and economic consequences.
  • Supported by evidence: conservative chiropractic care can play a valuable role within musculoskeletal healthcare.
  • Therefore: organizations have a legitimate business reason to consider improved employee access to musculoskeletal wellness and conservative care.

We do not claim guaranteed ROI, fewer sick days, lower premiums, fewer injuries or improved retention. Associations reported in research are presented as associations.

Community

Wellness works better together.

Body Logic believes meaningful wellness extends beyond the walls of a clinic. We collaborate with fitness organizations, community partners and local businesses to create accessible health and wellness experiences.

Beyond the Adjustment

A wellness ecosystem, not a single service.

Body Logic's long-term vision connects chiropractic, movement, recovery, fitness, education, community and employee wellbeing. That philosophy is why our corporate partnerships are built to grow rather than to lock organizations into one format.

Corporate FAQ

Questions HR teams ask us first.

What size companies do you work with?

Programs can be designed for small businesses, professional offices, growing organizations and larger employers. A 25-person office and a several-hundred-person employer simply get different program structures.

Do employees have to participate?

No. Programs are generally positioned as voluntary employee wellness opportunities unless an organization chooses to structure something differently.

Does the employer have to pay for employee chiropractic care?

No. Employer-sponsored, employer-subsidized and employee-paid structures can all be discussed. Many organizations start without a dedicated wellness budget.

Can Body Logic come to our office?

Yes, depending on location, event requirements and program structure. On-site activations are available throughout Northern Virginia and the DC metro area.

Do you provide Lunch & Learns?

Yes. Lunch & Learns are one of the most common and lowest-lift ways organizations introduce Body Logic to their teams.

Can we start with one event?

Absolutely. A single wellness event is an excellent way to introduce the program and evaluate employee interest before committing to anything ongoing.

Can this become an ongoing employee benefit?

Yes. Recurring corporate wellness arrangements can be developed based on organizational needs and employee participation.

Do you work with hybrid teams?

Program design can account for hybrid workforce structures where practical — for example, anchoring activations to in-office days or combining on-site events with education employees can use anywhere.

Can you participate in our health fair or employee wellness week?

Yes, subject to scheduling and event requirements. Health fairs and wellness weeks are a natural first collaboration.
