Common Causes of Shoulder Pain
Rotator cuff irritation, joint restriction, and neck-referred pain — how they differ and why evaluation matters.

When to be evaluated
Persistent pain, night pain, weakness, or a sudden loss of motion should be assessed. Numbness or tingling into the arm or hand warrants a careful look at the neck as well as the shoulder.
